For salon and service owners in Malaysia

Staff commission that adds up, without the spreadsheet.

Commission disputes rarely start at the counter. They start on payday, in a spreadsheet someone rebuilt from receipts, with a rate that changed halfway through the month. Kipas records the rate at the moment of each sale and keeps the month's earnings per person ready to export. Here is what that means for an owner.

Rates set once, saved at checkout

Commission starts off for every team member. You turn it on only for the people who should earn it, then set one percentage or a fixed RM rate for all active services, packages, or memberships, and adjust individual items where a different rate is fair.

Every new sale saves the rate that applied at checkout. Changing a rate later affects future sales only, so last month's payroll never rewrites itself.

Voids and refunds behave

A voided sale removes its commission. A refund subtracts on the day it is issued, so the month it lands in is the month it affects. A membership visit allowance redeemed at RM 0 earns nothing. None of this needs a correction row.

Payroll in one export

The Commissions report shows monthly earnings per staff member from their credited sales and your configured rates, with a CSV export for payroll. Revenue, refunds, tender totals, commissions, and date filters use the same calculations in every workspace, so the number on the report is the number in the export.

  • Sales credit the staff member who performed the service, chosen at the counter.
  • Package and membership sales carry their own rates, separate from services.
  • Reports and Receipts stay owner territory. Staff see their own day, and the owner decides which pages managers see.

When a number looks wrong

The Audit Log records every sensitive action with the actor, the time, and the reason: voids, refunds, line adjustments with their reason, and closing. A linked receipt number opens that exact receipt. A commission question becomes a two-minute look at the log instead of an argument.

Open the demo salon, take a sale as a staff member, then open Reports to see the commission it produced. Fictional data, resets every day.
