Giving money back: refunds
The sale stands; the value returns. Refunds are for real sales that later went wrong: a bad job, a changed mind, an untouched package.
10.1 The three kinds

| Custom amount | Part of one line, e.g. RM20 back for a job that wasn't worth a full refund. |
Every refund records the tender returned (cash/card/e-wallet) and a reason. Credit and free visits attached to refunded lines restore automatically. Commission reverses on the refund date; history is never rewritten, it grows a correction. A refund linked to a repair receipt also appears as a negative entry on that Repair Job Account and reopens the exact balance. Record a reasoned waiver when the refund is an intentional concession rather than money still owed.
10.2 The two rules that block people most
A CLOSED DAY REFUSES REFUNDS
Refunds belong to the day they're issued, and a closed day is locked (golden rule 3). If today's closing is done: reopen today's Daily Closing → issue the refund → close again.
PACKAGE / MEMBERSHIP PURCHASES: UNTOUCHED ONLY
Refunding a purchase of a package or membership revokes that entitlement (credit zeroed, benefits removed), so the app only allows it while nothing from it has been used. If the customer already spent credit, took a free visit, or enjoyed member pricing from it, the refund is refused with the reason shown. This cannot be undone once confirmed; read the warning. Do not work around a block manually; if money must move, that's an owner decision handled outside the app and noted.
10.3 How to issue one

Choose the refund
Admin → Receipts → open the receipt → choose Refund (remaining), Partial refund, or a custom amount on a line.

Enter refund details
Select lines/quantities if partial; enter the tender returned and the reason.

Confirm the refund
Confirm. The original receipt stays; the refund appears as its own record, and in tonight's closing.
MIXED RECEIPTS
Normal service lines refund normally. A package/membership purchase line on the same receipt follows the untouched-only rule above.
